The World's gone LinSane!
Jeremy Lin is now the most famous former benchwarmer for the
New York Knicks. His jersey is the highest selling at this time and his numbers
on the court is just as high. He is dominating the news, blogs and
entertainment. His family back home in Taiwan is now a paparazzi favorite.

SNL Sketch |
And you know you have made it when SNL does a
skit about you.
But I sit back and I wonder, with Jeremy, who has literally been
sitting on all this talent for so long, it begs the question- who else is
wasting their talents to keeping the seats warm? We see that Amare Stoudemire
and hopefully Carmelo can co-exist with Jeremy and so I look to different teams
and wonder if they can allow their top players to get some rest and not feel
obligated to carry the team buy giving some of the benchwarmers a chance to
shine. I think about Derrick Rose, who if he sits out a game, the team is reduced
to mirroring a bunch of zombies that have lost their way on the court. Is there
another Jeremy Lin out there on bench that Derrick and other top players can
look to if they are not fully on their A-game that night or maybe even
completely out the game for whatever reason? One thing I do know is certain-
Jeremy is unstoppable and is former benchwarmer to be reckoned with.
Two Words for Bobby Brown's Tell-All - Too Soon!
Her body isn’t even cold, our tears haven’t even dried and
Bobby Brown is now said to be shopping around a tell –all book on his life with
Whitney Houston. Four years ago, he tried to avail. But now folks are saying
that he is once again trying to shop this book around, seeing as the market for
anything Whitney is ripe for the picking. It is said that upon divorcing Whit,
Bobby signed a confidentiality agreement barring him from such income-worthy
proposition such as these.
I really hope you don’t go down this route, Bobby. Your
relationship with your daughter is more important that a paycheck. And this
would cut her deep. If you are looking for a way to fix that crook in your
mouth from all the years of drug use, I
want to suggest maybe a 9 to 5, an extended New Editio tour or even a bake sale. Name different cookies off of your hit songs or
something. But a book? Too soon, homey. Too soon.

Rupert Murdoch' The Daily take a stab at digital newspapers
The Daily was finally released..but I do have some reservations...
First let me talk about the pros.
The UI is incredible. It is sleek and intuitive. It is interactive in many ways- video, audio, polls. The daily gets it when it comes to what should be a standard on the iPad. Of course, it has the standard feature of being able to share via email, twitter and Facebook. I like that you can post audio comments as alternative to text. It has a "carousel" view which is reminiscent of cover flow in iTunes. It is set up in categories like sections in a newspaper (news, opinion, weather, etc.) The weather section is also an interactive experience that I enjoy. sports is also pretty decent. You have the option of customizing your sport section using your favorite teams, so that you only see what you want. I want and I love a great interactive experience...that is why I have the iPad. I also love up to date content....which brings me to the con.
The Daily lags in the area of news. Currently I have 8 news apps and secretly I had hope that The Daily would replace them when it comes to up to the minute news and content. Some of the stuff that i am reading about the next morning, were information that i saw on another app. I don't want to be behind in the news when TD finally publishes their content. I might as well read from the newspaper.
The Daily is free for two weeks and then it goes to .99 per week or 39.99 a year. this will not be a bad price at all, if they spend more time on content.

Tablet Explosion at CES 2011
CES with the E standing for explosion. Explosion of the tablet pc. CES was inundated with so many tablets that I fail to recall a release of laptops or desktop pcs. well....okay I DO remember Samsung talking about a 9 series.
With every electronic company taking a stab at the tablet market, it really shows how much things have change within a year. I mean, do we recall the number 1 question asked when Apple made the announcement about some new device called Ipad? "If I have a smartphone and a laptop, why do I need a tablet" Actually, I think that was second....number one was actually "what kind of name is iPad?"
the devices shown on the expo floor at CES this year really speak a lot to the direction many are going and important having a competitive tablet device will mean for a top tech companies.
